Unexpected sweetness

I never trust a man that easily whispering sweet words to a girl. Dari zaman masehi pas beta masih single (duile), tipe2 cowok macem begitu termasuk dalam black list beta. Kalau ada cowok yg mendekati beta dengan mengumbar madu, bisa dijamin besoknya gw kabur jauh2 menghindar.
So, gak heran klo gw dapet hubby yg tipe straight. Apa adanya. Malah hubby gw ini hobbynya bikin perasaan gw naik turun.
Misalnya aja, nih klo gw bis dandan kerenan dikit pas mo pergi.

Hubby : "Wow, sexy!"
Me : "Thank you..."(Ge Er) -barometer feeling : UP-
Hubby : (Big grin) "You must have spent a long time in the bathroom painting your face"
Me : (sending a death glare) -barometer feeling : DOWN THE HILL!!-

Love is a mystery

Anyway, semalem pas lg snuggle up with hubby, beta tiba2 nanya bagaimana perasaan dia setelah sekian tahun bersama gw. Apa kalau setiap melihat gw, dia masih merasa ada sparkle? Apa, sih yg dia suka dari gw? Gw suka parno liat pasangan yg married bertahun2 akhirnya malah jadi kaya brother and sister. Atau a perfect room mate only. Oh, no please! Ngapain gw kawin klo gt.

Back to the story, hubby menatap beta dengan tampang yg mengesankan was was. Kesannya pertanyaan beta itu mirip jebakan di Benteng Takeshi. Yang kalau dijawab apa pun, hasilnya jawaban dia tetap salah.

Hubby : "You are not looking to start a fight, right?"
Me :"NO! I just want to know. What do you like about me?"
Hubby : "That's hard to answer because if I said I like everything you will not believe me"
Me : "Really?"(sceptical-soalnya ini jawaban paling aman dari kaum pria!)
Hubby : "See?"
Me : "Well, I mean there has to be one particular thing of me that you like the most!I want to know why you like that and why you don't like others"
Hubby : (touching my lip) "I'm serious,honey...It's like asking me which part of a candy that sweet. It's the same sweetness. I like all side of you..."

OH.MY.GOD.
Let me tell you, hubby bukan tipe yg bermanis2 ria tapi sekalinya ngomong manis....wuihhh...send me straight to the cloud number nine....Sigh....
Score 0-1 for Rhea Vs Hubby....

What the F*** have you done, lately?

'What the fuck have you done, lately?', that words stand there in my brains for a couple of minutes and keep freezing. Then i forget it and sleep.
And i woke up today with that words hangin in my brains. I try to do some 'research' about myself, why that words annoy me?
Then i realize something. I sometime think that my life not as happy as i thought it would be, about 2 years ago. Well, maybe because i choose not to. Life is always about choice, and what ive got is what i choose. Maybe my mind control me too much. Maybe its time for me to influence my subconscious mind just now. Make a lil change, dare to say what i want, what make me happy. And focus even for a things like changing diapers and tie your shoes. So,what the fuck have I done lately? :p

10 Habits of Happy Moms

I found a nice article by HybridMom.

Here are 10 things happy moms do--so remember these tips in your day-to-day life!

1. Find time for yourself

Happy moms know they deserve a little time to themselves. When you know you're going to have a little room to breathe later on in the day, it's easier to take on everything that's in front of you. Our formula? Take 2 hours out for yourself every 3 days.

2. Don't make a happy baby, happier!
We all do it...you see your baby's head at what you're sure is an unnatural angle snoozing in their car seat. You just know they'll be happier if their head was straight.  So you move them. And they wake up. Then they scream. Or, you see them playing happily in the sand. You just know they'll be happier if they played on the slide. So you interrupt them and move them to the slide.  And they're angry. And they let you know they're REALLY angry.  Here's the thing, they were happy. It can be hard to do, but if your kid's not complaining, leave them be!  Happy baby = Happy Mommy.

3. Embrace the mess
So your house doesn’t look like something out of a magazine. That just means it’s cozy! Your children have hands coated in dirt from the playground and faces coated in spaghetti from dinner. It’s not gross—it’s an adorable photo op! Life is about how you look at things. Next time that pile of laundry that’s been sitting on the chair for three days starts to get you down, just remember… it’s probably feng shui.

4. Make time for your friends
Your family can survive without you while you make time to see friends. You are a woman with your own identity and its imperative that you and that identity go out for some margaritas once in awhile!

5.  Stop blowing yourself off
While you may be the one taking care of everyone, it doesn't mean you can't also get what you want. Help your family realize your needs are as important as theirs and when mom is happy, everyone is happy, but when mom is not....

6.  Get in the zone
Take 10 minutes to do absolutely nothing but rest. Take a break from your day, close your eyes, breath in slowly and deeply through your nose and exhale through your mouth.  Repeat several times. Think about a place you love that is relaxing, spend 10 minutes there in your mind.

7.  Remember your dreams and goals
Everyday we are encouraging our children to reach their full potential. But sometimes in the midst of being a parent we forget about our own dreams and goals. The best thing you can do to encourage a child is to lead by example –happy moms hold on to their dreams and goals and don’t let go.

8.  Be lighthearted
Don't be the uptight mom. Be silly and dance with your kids to their music or tv show tunes. Be romantic and pull your partner into a waltz. Dance in slippery socks in your kitchen while making dinner.

9.  Bend the Rules
One of the best parts of making the rules is occasionally breaking them. Maybe it’s taking your child out of school for half a day on their birthday, or waking them up in the middle of the night to see a sky of shooting stars.  Happy moms know how to turn the mundane into fun.

10.  Mind your own business
Concentrate on creating your life the way you want it. Take care of you and your family. Don’t get overly concerned with what other people are doing or saying. Don’t get caught up with gossip or name calling. Stop seeking the validation of others and be confident in yourself.

Who's the boss?

Ever questioning that to yourself? I know I did. Gw suka bertanya2 sebenernya yg boss itu kita atau anak kita, sih? Rasanya walau kita lebih tua and sesepuh, tapi biasanya apa mau si anak yg kita turuti. Yeah, gw tau sebagai ortu wajarlah kita berusaha mengabulkan apa yg anak kita mau dan wajar jg kalau kita bertindak apa2 itu dipikir untuk si anak bagaimana (misalnya aja gw gak bakal pergi ke toko barang antik dan pecah belah sampai anak gw berumur 25 tahun!! ). Bukannya gw itungan sama anak sendiri dan merasa terpaksa ngurus anak, ya. But still!
Contohnya hari ini beta diajak para ibu2 sependeritaan jalan2 keluar mumpung cuaca lg ok. Sebenernya beta ok aja jalan2. Tapi mereka ngajak jalannya jauuuuhhhh deh. Rada males tapi  mengingat anak gw bakal happy main di indoor children play area, beta paksain kaki berjalan keluar rumah.

First stop? Target!

Gw ga mo melar lg perutnya!), ampe coklat M&M rasa baru. Pretzel!! (ok, yg terakhir itu gw emang)

Crunchy, salty, sweet...

Sampe mall walhasil jadinya rada sorean. Buru2 beli soda di KFC soalnya cuma disitu satu2nya yg punya soda fountain, jadi gw bisa puas2 minum (trik ibu rumah tangga no 222). Anak happy main sesuai dugaan, tapi emak gempor lantaran lama gak pake boot dan lebih terbiasa dengan sepatu teplek sepanjang summer. Dah gt musti terbang sambil dorong stroller on the way back karena si Boss cilik ini sudah mulai menjerit kelaperan ingin makan dinner. Padahal beta pinginnya narik nafas sambil ngegelepak dulu mijit kaki. But of course di kamus mereka gak ada kata "menunggu dengan sabar dan manis". Hhhh....Sabar ya, BOSSS!!!!
